Long weekends in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands in 2027
Your working week and workplace closures
In the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, seven long weekends in 2027 need no leave: New Year's Day (January 1 to 3), Good Friday and Easter Monday (March 26 to 29), Anzac Day (April 24 to 26) and 4 more. Best value: take Monday, January 25 off for four days in a row around Australia Day.

Plan another year: long weekends in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, 2026 to 2027.
How the planner works
Each row starts from a holiday that is a day off in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands holiday calendar we use, with its substitute day where the calendar gives one for a holiday on a weekend. It takes Saturday and Sunday as the weekend, as in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. If you work other days, or your workplace closes for a stretch, set them under “Your working week and workplace closures”: the rows, the leave budget and the calendar file then count leave only on days you would work. A holiday on a day you do not work adds no day off here; some employers give another day instead. The suggested leave days join the holiday to the nearest weekend or other holiday, using at most four days of leave, and the row shows the option with the most days off for each day of leave.
Islamic holidays follow the moon. Their dates here are the ones in the official list; if the government moves one after the moon is sighted, the break around it moves too.
The planner follows the public holidays of the Public and Bank Holidays Act 1972 (WA)(CKI) and the special public holidays the Administrator proclaims for each year: Act of Self Determination Day, the King’s Birthday, Hari Raya Puasa, Hari Raya Haji and Hari Maulaud Nabi.
Employers, schools and regional calendars can add or move days. Check your own working pattern before booking.
