How the planner works
Each row starts from a holiday that is a day off in the Saint Pierre and Miquelon holiday calendar we use, with its substitute day where the calendar gives one for a holiday on a weekend. It takes Saturday and Sunday as the weekend, as in Saint Pierre and Miquelon. If you work other days, or your workplace closes for a stretch, set them under “Your working week and workplace closures”: the rows, the leave budget and the calendar file then count leave only on days you would work. A holiday on a day you do not work adds no day off here; some employers give another day instead. The suggested leave days join the holiday to the nearest weekend or other holiday, using at most four days of leave, and the row shows the option with the most days off for each day of leave.
Employers, schools and regional calendars can add or move days. Check your own working pattern before booking.
